Council Mission Statement<\/h2>\n

The WSB Council of Community Inclusion and Belonging<\/strong>\u00a0fosters a welcoming and supportive environment for all students, faculty, and staff. Through initiatives that promote mutual respect and community engagement, we build a culture where inclusion is lived\u00a0every day<\/strong>. Our partnerships ensure that every member of the WSB community feels valued, connected, and a genuine sense of belonging.<\/p>\n

\"AdelphiAbout Our Council<\/h2>\n

Robert B. Willumstad School of Business Council of Community Inclusion and Belonging, <\/strong>established in 2020, helps to create and maintain a culture of inclusion that provides a sense of belonging for all.<\/p>\n

Dedicated business faculty and staff volunteer their time and talents to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Advocate<\/strong>\u00a0for a more inclusive and welcoming campus environment.<\/li>\n
  2. Connect<\/strong>\u00a0with members of the local community, to engage in educational initiatives.<\/li>\n
  3. Share\u00a0<\/strong>diverse\u00a0ideas\u00a0and perspectives.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Adelphi College Rise Program<\/h2>\n

    The establishment of a high school mentoring program is another initiative of the council. Willumstad School faculty collaborate closely with local high schools to motivate their students to pursue higher education goals. The program includes exposing high school students to the culture of a college campus and a tuition free one credit course in personal finance. In essence, these students embark on the college career while still in high school.<\/p>\n

    Council Meetings<\/h2>\n

    The council holds monthly meetings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    We are always actively seeking new members as we continue to explore new initiatives. We also recognize that there are others who want to be supportive of the Council and its work, so we also encourage them to come forward and be recognized.<\/p>\n
