CPT is available only under the following circumstances:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The employment (internship, practicum, clinical experience, or student teaching) is a required component of the student\u2019s academic major and necessary for degree completion;<\/li>\n
  2. The employment is directly related to the student\u2019s academic major and is part of a for-credit internship or elective course that counts toward the credits required for the degree; or<\/li>\n
  3. The employment is authorized through participation in the Jaggar Community Fellows Program<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    CPT cannot be authorized for a student\u2019s academic minor.<\/p>\n

    Students interested in off-campus employment to get real-world experience or to build their r\u00e9sum\u00e9s must obtain Pre-completion Optional Practical Training<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
