College of Arts and Sciences

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ offers students a broad education in the study of liberal arts and sciences as well as advanced courses in the student’s chosen major. Undergraduate and graduate programs span 37 disciplines in the Sciences, Arts, and Humanities and Social Sciences. Our accomplished, supportive faculty are invested in teaching students to be the next generation of critical and creative thinkers, and global leaders. Internships, research and fieldwork opportunities enable students to apply knowledge in their chosen careers.

Robert B. Willumstad School of Business

Adelphi’s undergraduate and graduate business programs prepare students to meet the challenges of a technology-driven, global business environment. Business foundations are not just important for corporate enterprises, but also for careers in government and nonprofit entities. Experiential learning is key to our curriculum, including hands-on experience in our trading room as well as internship opportunities and on-campus lectures by leaders in industry. Programs of study include accounting, finance, economics, management, marketing, human resources and decision sciences.

Ruth S. Ammon College of Education and Health Sciences

The Ruth S. Ammon College of Education and Health Sciences prepares teachers, clinicians and professionals through undergraduate and graduate programs found in the School of Education, the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, and the department of Health and Sport Sciences. We are dedicated to providing students with the skills to meet the challenges of working in a complex multicultural society. The curriculum is built upon the core values of scholarship, reflective practice, social justice, inclusive community, wellness, and creativity and the arts.

Honors College

Adelphi’s Honors College aims to transform talented and motivated undergraduate students into thoughtful college graduates prepared to fill leadership positions in all disciplines and industries. Faculty engage with students in conversation, debate, advice, and exchange of ideas. The Honors College provides a dynamic, contemporary program of liberal arts through a curriculum focused on the problems and achievements of modern knowledge and their bearing on a global society.

College of Nursing and Public Health

Adelphi’s nursing and public health programs prepare undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students with the skills, knowledge, and specialized education to succeed as qualified leaders in a variety of health settings. Our innovative degree programs are led by accomplished faculty who educate students in the practice, knowledge, and technology that are transforming public health and nursing. Partnerships with healthcare facilities and community organizations provide diverse fieldwork opportunities to prepare students for careers after graduation.

College of Professional and Continuing Studies

The College of Professional and Continuing Studies (CPCS) serves our highly valued nontraditional students, bringing them the educational opportunities they need to advance their career, change their career path, or complete a degree. This College offers exceptional benefits tailored to their unique needs: flexibility in course scheduling and times, reduced tuition, life experience credit, small classes and personal advising. Students can enroll in degree, non-degree, or continuing education programs — all with exceptional support for learners of all ages and backgrounds.

Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology

Adelphi is recognized as an international leader in the study of psychology, dedicated to scholarship and preparing professionals for a changing society. Undergraduates have the opportunity to study general psychology, while master’s students can specialize in mental health counseling or school psychology. The school offers a doctoral program and respecialization program in clinical psychology, as well as postgraduate programs in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis including child, adolescent and family; group psychotherapy; couple therapy; psychodynamic supervision and school psychology.

School of Social Work

The School of Social Work prepares professional social workers for the human services through degree programs at the bachelors, masters and doctoral level. The curriculum prepares graduates to become informed citizens and skilled professionals. School of Social Work faculty have published extensively and are regarded as leaders in their fields. Our community partnerships and initiatives offer opportunities for fieldwork in a variety of human services settings.
