Join the Multicultural Center and the Long Island Roller Rebels for a conversation about protecting the communities we build and fighting for the rights of every member of those communities. The presentation will include an overview of the legal battle the Roller Rebels have been undertaking to protect the rights of their members to participate in their sport and then shift to a discussion of why their are taking on this fight and why its important to stand strong with your community.

The Long Island Roller Rebels are Long Island’s first flat track roller derby league and have been skating strong for over 20 years. They compete on Long Island and abroad for international rankings in the Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby Association and have made it a part of their mission to not only promote roller derby, but to actively give back to their community.
