Welcome home to 础诲别濒辫丑颈鈥檚 new Manhattan Center!

As we begin the first ever courses in the summer 2026 term, we are excited to welcome you to the Center, where you will take your classes and labs and also be able to use the library, study spaces, lounge and office space in the new center.

Transportation to Campus

The entrance to 529 Fifth Avenue is on 44th Street between Madison and Fifth Ave. and is accessible directly from the terminal at Grand Central Station by taking the 44th Street Elevator.

The Center is also a short walk from all subway lines

  • B, D, F, 7 (42nd Street, Bryant Park)
  • 4, 5, 6, Metro North, LIRR (Grand Central, 42nd Street)
  • N, R, Q, S, 1, 2, 3 (Times Square)

Parking in the area is limited, so public transportation is recommended. We will update you soon about potential discounting parking if available.

The Manhattan Center is open as follows:

  • Monday through Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Fridays and Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Sundays: CLOSED

Library

础诲别濒辫丑颈鈥檚 library services at the Manhattan Center are located in 2nd Floor. During class hours, a member of the Adelphi Library team is onsite in the library. 础诲别濒辫丑颈鈥檚 online library resources are available using your eCampus credentials.

Technology

  • Printing: Printer stations are located in the 2nd and 4th Floor office suites as well as in the Library.
  • General IT Services: See a complete guide to all Adelphi IT services, including apps and software applications.

Important Notes

  • The Center occupies 3 floors (2nd, 3rd and 4th) of the building at 529 Fifth Avenue
    • The main entrance to the building is on 44th Street between Madison and Fifth
    • Once through the downstairs turnstile, take the elevators on the right-hand side to the floor noted on your schedule, but using the first digit of the room number (e.g., Room 313 is on the 3rd floor)
    • When moving between floors, you must exit the floor and use the elevator
      • Stairwells will only lead to the outside or to the lobby
    • Each floor is organized in a square in which you can walk around the perimeter; orientation to each floor is quite simple.
  • A 鈥榙oorbell鈥 and intercom system are located at the entrance to each floor. If you do not have access for your first visit, simply ring the bell and we will assist you.
  • Single occupancy restrooms are located on each floor and by code in each elevator bank. The elevator bank restrooms on the 3rd and 4th floor will not be available during the first week.
  • Office space is available on the 2nd and 4th Floors.
    • With a few exceptions, office space is shared and is to be used on an as-needed basis. A reservation system will be in place in the coming months.
    • Though suites are locked, individual offices are not locked. There are lockers available in the 4th Floor suite and on floors 2 and 3.
    • A lounge with refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine is located in the 4th floor suite. The 4th floor is generally reserved for faculty and administration.
    • The 2nd floor office suite is available for faculty and staff; the room adjacent to the suite will also have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine.
    • There is also shared office space in Room 434.
  • Security in the 1st Floor lobby operates 24/7, but the building locks in the late evening.
    • Adelphi will have roaming security in the afternoons and as scheduled for events.
    • All areas are monitored by cameras both on-site and in the command center in Garden City.
    • ID is required for entry on to each floor and to each of the specialized spaces (i.e., CESiL, STEAM Lab, Office Suites)
  • You will see notes below as to how to access the Center. Please note that the 1st floor turnstile does not work at this time. You will need to show your Adelphi ID or other photo ID and may be required to sign in at the front desk.

Student, Faculty and Staff IDs

Adelphi will provide digital IDs to access the 1st Floor turnstile, each floor, and other locked spaces. When ready, you will receive an email with the title: Unlock Doors at 茄子视频 from Avigilon Alta. Please note if you are not scheduled to teach and do not have administrative access, you will need to request to be added to the list or issued a guest pass to use the Center.

Mobile Access Instructions – Manhattan Center

All students, faculty, and staff will need to swipe into the dedicated left turnstile at the main entrance at 529 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.

Open AppStep 1: Download the Avigilon Alta Open App

  • To access the building at 529 Fifth Avenue, you will first need to download the Avigilon Alta Open app

Step 2: First-Time Application Setup

  • Enter your Adelphi email address.
  • Open your Adelphi Email and find the email titled Unlock doors at 茄子视频 from the sender Avigilon Alta.
  • Click the 鈥Click here to enable access鈥 button if you have already installed the Alta Open app.
  • Follow the instructions and we suggest accepting the suggested settings for Bluetooth, Location Services, and Power Saving.
  • Once you have followed the instructions, you should see your Mobile ID Badge, and are ready to swipe into the Adelphi Turnstile at 529 Fifth Ave and at any entry points that you have access to throughout the building.
