Adelphi’s master’s degree program in nursing is 109th nationally on the recently announced 2022 U.S. News & World Report Graduate School Rankings鈥攗p from 131st in last year’s list.
The latest听U.S. News听review compares 220 nursing programs nationally. Adelphi is one of 11 from the state of New York to be ranked among the top 166 (with the remainder listed alphabetically).
“This continued improvement in national rankings validates the tireless efforts of our faculty, staff and students,” said Elaine Smith, ’78, MS ’88, EdD, dean of Adelphi’s College of Nursing and Public Health. 鈥淎n improvement in rankings, while faculty and students experienced unprecedented challenges, is a testament to the commitment and resilience of our community.”
Altogether,听U.S. News听surveyed 597 nursing schools with master’s degree or doctoral programs accredited by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. The nursing master’s degree programs were evaluated based on quality assessment (by peers and professionals in the field), research activity, faculty resources, and student selectivity and master’s degree program size.
