Another year, another group of 茄子视频 student interns have successfully completed a project for the . Since 2014, the partnership between the University and the Village has enabled students to gain invaluable work-related experiences that complement their classroom learning. Internships are a key component of the Adelphi education experience and presently more than 200 students are interning at business and non-business organizations throughout the region.

Initiated by Neil Halloran, coordinator of internships at the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business, the partnership with the Village is designed to enable Adelphi students to apply their knowledge to address specific problems facing the community.听 This year, the interns worked closely with the Recreation and Parks Department on a strategic plan to invest in the Village鈥檚 recreational facilities based on need, usage and priorities.

Village administrator Ralph Suozzi is impressed with the quality of the Adelphi students who participate in this partnership. 鈥淭he many student intern candidates we have interviewed have all come to us with the highest recommendation, deep resumes, diverse interests yet practical experience that often parallels the opportunities we are scouting,鈥� said Suozzi. For its part the Village tries to match up the goals and expectations of the internship with the career path and experience of the students. With so many suitable candidates, Suozzi says, 鈥渃hoosing from among the pool of candidates is very difficult.鈥澨�

Suozzi calls the partnership a win-win. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a way for these young men and women to work alongside and learn something from the tenured Village workforce,鈥� Suozzi said.听 鈥淢eanwhile, we get to work alongside and experience the energy, intellect and enthusiasm of individuals who are eager to learn new things and make a difference.鈥�
