ÌýeWaste Recycling

  • 18,412.35 lbs of eWaste recycled through monthly equipment sales (2015–2016).
  • 3,244 lbs of eWaste recycled through our bi-annual campus eRecycle events (2015–2016).ÌýÌýÌýÌý

ÌýGreen Transportation

  • Three energy efficient vehicles used for equipment moves and providing optimal service to our campus community.

ÌýPaper Reduction

  • Continuous effort being made to automate business processes and leverage our to reduce paper and toner use by departments on campus.

ÌýNetwork Changes

  • 50% reduction of space in server room through virtualization and consolidation.
  • 47% less electricity used by new switches for our Network Access Layer (customer connected).
  • 61% of our applications are in the cloud; further reducing energy costs and eWaste.

ÌýEnergy Savings

  • 1,187,630 KWh ($178,145) saved through nightly auto-shut downs of our lab computers (2015-2016).
  • Switched to laser projectors, saving the university on energy costs, consummables and eWaste.
  • Installed programmable occupancy sensors in all our new construction builds since 2013.
