Join the Office of International Services for an upcoming webinar on the new Extension of Stay (EOS) application process for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has published new federal regulations that replace Duration of Status (D/S) with a fixed period of admission for F and J nonimmigrants. Under the new regulations, students and exchange visitors who need additional time in the United States beyond their Admit Until Date (AUD) may be required to apply for an Extension of Stay (EOS) with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Before filing an EOS application with USCIS, eligible students and exchange visitors must first work with International Services to obtain the appropriate recommendation and an updated Form I-20 or Form DS-2019, as applicable.

This webinar will explain what an Extension of Stay (EOS) is, who may need to apply, and how to request an EOS recommendation from International Services and file Form I-539 with USCIS. We will also review key filing requirements, supporting documents, and important deadlines.

This webinar will help current and future international students and exchange visitors understand the new Extension of Stay requirements and the steps needed to maintain lawful status in the United States. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
