In his annual , Adelphi President Robert A. Scott discussed the past, present and future of the University, addressing Adelphi’s tremendous progress over the past decade but also noting how it will respond to the recent and significant shifts in commerce, education, society and the economy.

鈥淐hange is inevitable,鈥� he said. 鈥淣o organization or institution can remain still in the face of economic, demographic, technological and other forces, and must engage in honest self-reflection about whether it is doing its best in fulfilling its stated mission with every decision it makes. An institution or organization which doesn鈥檛 evolve, which attempts to defy entropy, will lose vitality.鈥�
